Cayucos Kitchen Remodel
These Cayucos Ca. residents wanted to give their 1980's kitchen a complete remodel. There vision was to create a kitchen that would reflect their beach environment, and of course gain more usable counter and storage space.
We accomplished this by moving the refrigerator to the south wall with an adjoining corner lazy susan base cabinet and by moving the peninsula cabinet out 15 inches to widen the footprint. This allowed room for another lazy susan base cabinet to be located to the left of the sink. A bank of 4 drawers was added to the left of the dishwasher and next to that we installed a recycle unit, which contains two 36qt. receptacles.
Bench seating with 5 large drawers was built into the dining area to create a nook.
All drawers feature Blum under mount soft-close drawer slides and all the doors were installed using Blum soft close door hinges. The cabinets were painted antique white, which together with black quartz granite counters and a glass tile back splash against light blue walls create that warm and "beachy" kitchen.
